 OPEN HOUSE

 WINTER

NEW FOR FALL/WINTER 2017!

We have had a blast mastering the art of felt making. Felting with our hand dyed alpaca fibers lead to the creation of a line of nature inspired images. These scenes are now gracing our new line of hand felted shoulder bags!  CLICK HERE to see our eye catching bags. They make great gifts!!

ALPACA SMILES

This is one of our favorite pics! One of the reasons we love our Alpaca is because they never fail to make us smile. Among their favorite summertime activities is sprinkler sitting (or should we say "hogging"!). Apparently it is a great way to cool off. One does have to wait their turn, and we find it humorous that this is an instance in which seniority definitely rules :-)

OUR NEWEST WOVEN SCARVES

An upside to hot weather is that the colorful horizons of one's loom, which are inside with the air conditioning, become all the more appealing. Juliann and Sharon have been exploring new color combinations with their warps and wefts, and the result is scarves that are redolent with bits of color that sing!  CLICK HERE to view and purchase our WOVEN SCARVES.

AN ALPACA INFO TIDBIT!

Alpacas are curious intelligent animals. If you let them come to you, rather than moving or rushing towards them, they will approach and reward you with a positive response. Alpacas are not fond of being touched, and they definitely don't want you to touch their heads. Time and patience pays off with Alpacas, and they can be trained to be lead by a halter, and some will even eat out of your hand!

OUR ALPACA RAINBOW

We are working with the colors and patterns of woven alpaca fabric that we are featuring in 2017. These great colors and patterns will be available in our INFINITY WRAPS and RUANAS this fall. CLICK HERE to see what's now available in our online store.

FASCINATING ALPACA INFO!

An interesting bit of Alpaca info: Did you know that alpacas were originally bred for their fiber? Unlike their bigger cousins, llamas, they were not bred to be beasts of burden. Alpacas are considerably smaller than llamas, and they are heavily fleeced before they are sheered each spring. They grow their lustrous and silky fleece in an amazing 22 colors - they are natural born artists!
