Alpaca have been valued for their soft, luxuriant fleece for generations. Their fleece has been called “the fibre of the gods.”

Alpaca yarn has a softness equal to cashmere making it perfect for knits that rest against the skin. Alpaca yarn has excellent stitch definition and is lightweight for all textured patterns, knit cables and ribbing.

Hand Dyed yarn is handled and manipulated artists here at the Annadele farm. The individual handling creates minute differences from skein to skein even within the same batch making each skein an individual work of artistry and skill. There are 10 skeins per batch and while we try to repeat our favorites no two batches are identical. Colors are named per batch. Other yarns available support fellow PA alpaca farms and some are imported supporting Peruvian families through fair trade.
