Alpaca is water resistant, breathable and has great wicking capabilities. Alpaca dries faster and insulates better than merino wool when wet because it only absorbs about 10% of its weight in water whereas wool absorbs 30%. Alpaca is also 5x warmer than wool because of its semi hollow core trapping heat and the added lining in our gloves helps stop the wind through the knit.
